Girona and Dalí Museum

Magnificent heritage and surrealism

Take a daytrip outside the city and explore some of the top monuments in the Girona province. Its sublime capital of the same name offers magnificent heritage on a human scale. Explore the Call, one of the most well-preserved Jewish Quarters in Europe, stroll through its charming tiny lanes, walk on the mediaeval walls or the Eiffel bridge, visit the majestic cathedral, the Arab baths or the excellent museums, admire the colourful houses on the Onyar river and discover the shooting locations of Game of Thrones.

Then continue to Figueres, the birthplace of pioneering surrealist Salvador Dalí, and stand in awe of his main museum. Located in a former theatre, the largest surrealistic object in the world takes you on a captivating journey of paintings, drawings, engravings, sculptures, photographs, holograms and three-dimensional installations, including his tomb itself.
