Take a daytrip outside the city and explore some of the top monuments in the Girona province. Its sublime capital of the same name offers magnificent heritage on a human scale. Then continue to Figueres, the birthplace of pioneering surrealist Salvador Dalí, and stand in awe of his main museum.
