The contrasts of the Old Town

A fascinating mixture of history and modernity

The Gothic Quarter, Born and Raval are the areas that together make up an Old Town in constant transformation. The Old Town of Barcelona has a special atmosphere thanks to its narrow and maze-like streets. We will immerse ourselves in history while admiring the remains of the Roman walls or the Jewish Call neighbourhood. Modern buildings like the Museum of Contemporary Art co-exist with mediaeval architectural complexes like the old Santa Creu Hospital or the flavours and colours of the different markets. At the same time, some of these centuries-old buildings now house museums, like the Picasso Museum, as well as libraries and schools.

On this walking tour we will discover the fascinating mixture of history and modernity in the heart of Barcelona.
