The Hospital, designed by Domènech i Montaner, is a hidden gem that must certainly be included in a visit to Barcelona. In addition to its opulent façade and ornamentation, the architecture has been hailed for its successful adaption to patient needs. Built in the early 1900s, the Hospital is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and was reopened in 2014 as a museum and cultural center.
